How it works
- Ask for what you read. “Add Simon Willison's blog and r/LocalLLaMA.” Paste a site, a feed,
r/subreddit,owner/repo, or a YouTube, Bluesky or Mastodon address. MCPortal finds a feed that works. - Arrange it by talking. “Put GitHub on the left.” “Show pictures.” Starter packs (developer, AI, news, games, art, science, music, film) fill a new room in seconds, and OPML import brings your subscriptions from another reader.
- Read and keep things. Stories open in a clean reader view with no ads. Save the good ones to a Saved portal, and ask your agent about any of them. Say “clip that” to keep a quote, an explanation, a table or a chart from the conversation, and find it again in any later chat.

Private by design
MCPortal fetches feeds and pictures on its server, so the sites you read don't see you until you open the original. There are no ads, trackers or analytics. Sign-in is through GitHub, and from GitHub MCPortal keeps only your user ID and login. Your layout, sources, saved items and clips are yours: export them any time in open formats, or delete your account yourself. Details are in the privacy policy.
Get it
Anyone with a GitHub account can sign in.
Add MCPortal to your agent as a custom connector (MCP server) with this URL, and sign in with GitHub. Then ask “open my room”.

In Claude, that's Settings → Connectors. MCPortal works in any MCP agent; the visual room appears in agents that show MCP Apps, and elsewhere you read through the chat.
Prefer to run it yourself? MCPortal also runs locally as a Claude Code plugin with no account.
